Started brewing artisan sake in the 1800’s in small batches using the underground spring water along with quality local rice in Niigata. Takahashi’s unique flavors and various labels are a reflection of its traditional hand-techniques, combined with its respect for individualism.

Tanakaya Brewing | 株式会社田中屋酒造店
Founded in 1869, Tanakaya is located in the foothills of the northern tip of Nagano prefecture which provides the ideal condition for creating great sake through slow low-temperature fermentation. The natural sweet spring water has been collected from Mt. Mizuo to brew their award winning Mizuo 水尾 collections.
